A massive cleaning work in the MKCG Medical College campus was undertaken on Sunday in which a number of voluntary organisations and street development committees participated. It was coordinated by Forum For Ganjam. The participants were Aruna, Sangeeni Bahini, Mahan Sangh, NTR, Basudev Nagar Urnnanayan Committee, employees of MKCG, officials of the Sub-Collector’s Office, members of Friends Helping Club and Brahmapur Press Club etc.
Besides cleaning the outdoor and several wards in the hospital, the volunteers sensitised the patients and their attendants about cleaning and the need to have a healthy environment in and around the college. Notably, the Forum for Ganjam had initiated a cleaning drive from the Brahmapur railway station from February 26. The forum will also clean the MKCG premises once again on March 22.
