The Bilaspur police in Chhattisgarh on Friday rescued and handed over a 22-year-old dumb girl to Kendrapada police. Pratima Nayak of Mahakalapada locality was staying at a Bilaspur-based ashram since last eight months while she was rescued. last year, the girl was rescued from Derabish police station area while she was seven-months pregnant.
She was at that time staying at Reiswa, a short stay home. After giving birth to a child, the girl fled from the short stay home. Even, the Reiswa superintendent had filed a missing report at the Kendrapada town police station. “We are conducting inquiry to ascertain her village and to hand over the girl to her family members,” stated Kendrapada police station IIC Pramod Kumar lenka.
