An eight-year-old boy, who had allegedly been abducted from Kumuti Sahi in Kashinagar NAC of Gajapati district two days ago, was rescued from a factory on Friday.
An unidentified person telephoned the parents of the child in the morning informing them about the presence of the boy at a cement factory located at Kaithapadar. The couple then rushed to the spot and rescued the child.
Notably, the boy was playing with his friends in the locality on December 16 evening when two motorcycle-borne miscreants came and asked him about the location of his father’s workplace. The duo then took the child with them on the two-wheeler. Suspecting foul play, his friends chased the vehicle for a while, but the two managed to flee spot. The reason behind act of miscreants was yet to be ascertained.
