Purnendu Shekhar Mishra has taken over the charge of the Railway Board Member Traffic. Prior to the new posting Mishra was the General Manager of South Eastern Railway. He was in charge of East Coast Railway for a few months.
A resident of Bhubaneswar, Mishra joined in Indian Railways Traffic Service in 1982. He has acquired vast knowledge and experience in train operations after joining in Indian Railways.Mishra worked in various important capacities like Advisor/Safety and Executive Director (Corporate Communication), Railway Board and Divisional Railway Manager/Raipur in South East Central Railway/Bilaspur and Chief Operations Manager in Western Railway.
He has worked previously in many crucial posts in East Coast Railway.
