Senior Congress leader and newly-elected Balangir MlA Narasingha Mishra, who had been admitted to the Apollo Hospital here on Monday after he felt pain in his chest, was flown to Mumbai on Tuesday for a heart bypass surgery. According to sources, Mishra, accompanied by some of his family members, was shifted to Mumbai, where he would also undergo treatment in the Apollo Hospital.
Sources said doctors have advised him to undergo an immediate bypass surgery after multiple tests confirmed blockages in his arteries linked to heart.Though it is not a very serious cardiac problem, he has to undergo surgery to prevent a major heart ailment in future. On Monday, Mishra had been admitted to the ICU in the Apollo Hospital here after he felt uneasy.
