Close on the heels of loot of Rs 60 lakh from toll gate staffs in Baleswar, unidentified miscreants looted Rs 4 lakh from a businessman in Bargarh district on Tuesday.
According to reports, two motorcycle-borne miscreants looted Rs 4 lakh from local resident Jogi Kar while he was on his way to deposit the cash in the HDFC Bank.
“Someone shoved me from behind and snatched the bag containing the money,” said Kar.
The incident occurred a few metres from the entrance of the HDFC Bank. A witness of the incident said two youths escaped from the spot by a motorcycle after looting the cash. Getting information, police reached the spot
and began investigation into the incident.
