Amidst incessant rain under the influence of Cyclone Titli, the miscreants looted cash from an ATM counter in Phulbani town adopting a unique method on Thursday night.
The criminals broke the wall of the SBI ATM counter and looted cash from the machine.
According to reports, the miscreants taking the golden opportunity during heavy rainfall pulled down the shutter of the ATM counter located at FCI Square in Phulbani town and made a three-feet-wide hole in the wall of the counter for entry into it.
They broke the machine and looted cash.
Locals informed police after finding the big hole in the wall of the ATM counter on Friday morning.
Police reached the spot and informed about the incident to the bank authorities.
However, the amount of cash looted by the miscreants was yet to be ascertained. Investigation was underway.
