Tension ran high at Badakaturu village of Gurandi panchayat in Gajapati district after a group of miscreants damaged electronic voting machines (EVMs) on Thursday morning. According to reports, the incident was the fallout of a group clash between two groups of the village under the Gurandi police station. Following information, a special team of police and polling officials from the district headquarters rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
