Continuing their tit-for-tat act against the ruling BJD for attacking Central Ministers in Bargarh recently, the BJP on Tuesday protested the visit of Higher Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahy and Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Sanjay Dasburma in Brahmapur and showed black flags at them.
Sources said the police detained eight BJP youth activists for showing black flags at the Ministers.
The saffron party workers waived black flags at the duo when they were on their way to the Berhampur University to attend a programme.
A similar incident had taken place on Monday as Health and Family Welfare Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak was shown black flags by BJP workers when the former was on a visit to the Baleswar District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) to take stock of the diarrhoea situation.
last week too, saffron party activists too had waived black flags at Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Panda and BJD MlA Priyadarshi Nayak in Mumbai when the duo was attending the Biju centenary celebration programme at the Odisha Bhavan there organised by the Tourism Department.
