The Singhadwar police on Thursday brought a minor girl to custody for her involvement in making footages of the Jagannath Temple premises which have gone viral in the TikTok networking site.
A few days ago, a video of ulterior views of Jagannath Temple had gone viral in TikTok site by sending the Puri police on their toes over security of the shrine.
Following an FIR, the police after a search detected a minor girl living in Nimapada area who is alleged to have shot picture of the inside view of the temple and then uploaded the same on TikTok site. Police brought the girl to Puri from Nimapara and kept her under detention.
Police kept the name and address of the girl secret because of her minor age. During interrogation, the girl admitted her wrong doing.
Police were not sure of whether or not to arrest the minor girl under criminal sections or allow her an excuse for confession.
Reportedly, since the girl had confessed her guilt of recording in the temple and making it viral, police are thinking of acquitting her with an undertaking from her family that such work would not be repeated in future.
