The Airfield Police on Monday arrested the owner of a noodles factory of Botanda village near Sundarpada on the charge of assaulting a minor boy, who was working in the factory.

The incident came to fore after Child Line officials rescued the minor while he was crying on roadside in a nearby area on Sunday evening and rushed him to the Capital Hospital.

Later, the officials handed him over to Child Welfare Committee (CWC).

Sources said the 12-year-old boy of Jharkhand was working at the noodles factory of one Rahul Kumar, who allegedly often beat the boy when the latter failed to do any assigned work.

Following a complaint lodged at Airfield police station in the connection by the rescuers, the cops conducted a raid on the factory and arrested Kumar.
