The Telkoi police on Friday arrested one Bania Munda, a minor and main accused in the triple murder case which occurred in Kaliahata village under its jurisdiction in Keonjhar district.
He had been hiding after allegedly committing the crime on Wednesday. He was produced before the Keonjhar Juvenile Court after the arrest and was forwarded to jail.
The brick kiln owner had cut a tree from Bania’s farm and there was a dispute over the payment towards its cost. On Wednesday evening Bania in a drunken state reached the brick kiln area and started quarrelling with the labourers there. Out of anger Bania attacked four persons, killing three on the spot.
