The Bargarh Road Railway Siding labourers Association (BRRSlA) organised its third awareness programme and a welcome ceremony for the new labour Minister here on Sunday under the chairmanship of union president T Ramesh Kumar Rao.
Minister of State, labour and ESI Susanta Singh attended as chief guest while guests of honour were MP Dr Prabhas Singh, Bargarh MlA Debesh Acharya and Chairman Bargarh Municipality Prasanta Behera.
labour Minster Singh said in his speech that more than five ESI hospitals and 40 dispensaries are running for labours in the State. A new ESI hospital having 500 beds will be started soon, he informed.
He also said that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has framed different schemes for the benefit of labours as well as farmers in the State.
Over 1,000 railway siding labours from different districts attended. BRRSlA secretary Nihar Ranjan Patel proposed vote of thanks.
