Textiles, Handlooms and Handicrafts Minister Padmini Dian and her husband Sadashib Dian and Nabarangpur MLA Ramesh Chandra Majhi, who tested Covid-19 positive earlier last week, were shifted to the SUM Covid Hospital here on Saturday after they complained of difficulty in breathing.
Minister Dain, her husband, son and nephew tested positive for the virus on September 3, following which they had been under home isolation.
Meanwhile, Minister Ranendra Pratap Swain has also been admitted to the SUM Covid Hospital after his swab reports came out positive.
So far, 18 MLAs have tested positive for the virus. Besides, six Ministers, including Sushanta Singh, Tukuni Sahu and Arun Sahoo, have also contracted the virus.
