The 2nd annual general meeting to decide for mines inspection, publicity, trade test etc and for overall preparation of the 56th Annual Mines Safety Week for 2018 was held at Joda on Wednesday.
While Director Mines Safety, Chaibasa Region, Satish Kumar presided over the meeting, Tata Steel, Joda chief Rajesh Kumar delivered the vote of thanks. Others present were Deputy Director Mines Safety, Chaibasa Region Saket Bharati, Senior Manger OMC AC Sahu and joint secretary of the celebration committee PK Sahu and agent cum regional manger OMC Sirish Sekhar.
Sources revealed that as per schedule of the programme, visit to individual mines and publicity and propaganda of safety which will start from November 26 will end on December 3 and the final programme will be held on December 9.
The event is being hosted by OMC at Barbil.
Representatives from total 80 working mines, including Tata Steel, SAIL, OMC, Rungta, Essel, MG Mohanty, KJS Ahlluwalia, Sirajjudin, KMC, SN Mohanty, UCIL and KC Pradhan were present.
