Health and Family Welfare Minister Damodar Rout while attending a meeting here on Thursday emphasised on improvement of medical research and latest treatment facilities in the Government medical institutions across the State.
Dr Rout discussed on setting up of Translational Research Units (TRUs), outpatient clinics that are primarily the places to conduct research studies at various Government medical institutions and at the Capital Hospital.
The Minister also discussed about the MoU signed between the State Government and the Asian Institute of Public Health. HOD of Pediatrics of SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack proposed for a TRU at the Cuttack Sishu Bhavan which was welcomed by the Minister and would be established with the help of the AIPH.
