Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das on Friday made a surprise visit to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) and took stock of the healthcare facilities there.
Earlier, 5T Secretary VK Pandian had made surprise visits to several DHHs to supervise their functioning.
Besides, interacting with the patients about the healthcare being provided at the hospital Das went around the outdoor, surgery, dialysis, trauma care and other wards.
Later, the Minister held a meeting with the Bhadrak MP, MLA, district Collector at the CDMO office and discussed about the problems faced in providing quality healthcare.
The Minister said he would inform the Chief Minister about the district’s longstanding demand for setting up a medical college hospital and filling the vacant posts in the DHH. Besides, he said that all the other complaints would be solved within seven days.
