Even as Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has stressed on implementation of 5T mantras in all Government offices, its effect is not witnessed at the Khordha block office.
During a surprise visit of the Rural Development, Law and Housing and Urban Development Minister Pratap Jena on Monday, it was found that the BDO and many other officers and employees reached office an hour after the scheduled time.
When he reached the block at 10.10 am, the Minister could see presence of an Assistant Engineer only. The BDO reached the office at 11.10 am. Examining the attendance register, the Minister expressed strong resentment and asked the employees to be particular in coming to office on time.
The Minister also expressed unhappiness seeing that no meeting on 5T execution review was scheduled for the day in the block office when all Government offices have been asked to hold such meetings on every Monday.
However, the Minister told reporters that all developmental programmes are running smoothly in the block area.
Later, Jena visited the dump yard at Sialia. He informed that a micro treatment plant would come up at the dump yard soon. He too visited the Khordha Municipality office.
