Higher Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra on Thursday admitted large-scale irregularities in the Council for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE).
Replying to members both from ruling and opposition benches in the State Assembly, the Minister said the Crime Branch is investigating the matter and ascribed the wrongdoings at the CHSE to the irregular appointments made by his predecessors.
He claimed that the new examination system adopted by the Government would bring transparency in the CHSE affairs.
Patra thanked BJD MlA Ranendra Pratap Swain and Congress member Santosh Singh Saluja for bringing to light several irregularities in the CHSE.
