Subhashree alias Mili Panda, wife of arrested top Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda, on Monday alleged that the Brahmapur SP did not allow her to be present during interrogation of her husband.
She said that when she went to the Brahmapur SP office to attend the interrogation session as per the SDJM court’s condition during taking of Sabyasachi on a 10-day police remand on Saturday, SP Aniruddh Singh told her that nobody except the lawyer of the accused would be allowed to attend the quizzing session.
According to reliable sources, Sabyasachi’s lawyer Deepak Patnaik had urged the police to allow Mili in his absence on the second day of the interrogation.
Meanwhile, public prosecutor Pradeep Kumar Behera told mediapersons here that he would move upper court against the lower court’s remand condition.
