Over 200 midday meal (MDM) workers from different blocks of Bargarh staged a demonstration on Thursday in front of the district Collector pressing for a 15-point charter of demands.
The workers submitted a memo to the Minister, School and mass Education Department Odisha through the Collector. Association president Vikash Pradhan and secretary Puspa Dash led the rally.
The MDM workers demanded immediate payment of honorarium from June- 2013 to 2014, pension to the cook-cum-helpers and hike in wages. State leaders Radharaman Sarangi and Isani Sarangi were present.
