The State Government on Wednesday issued operational guidelines to be maintained during MGNREGS work in the State during the COVID-19 lockdown.
“All field officials working under the PD, DRDA, Executive Engineer, RWSS, BDO and GP level will attend their work normally in the field. The concerned head of office should also ensure full strength in the office which would provide necessary support to the field execution,” an official order said.
The concerned officials have been asked to ensure social distancing strictly in the field and contain the spread of coronavirus. No meetings would be organised, soap or hand wash and sufficient safe drinking water should be made available for sanitisation at the work site and informal gatherings of workers at a worksite should be avoided.
No sick person and persons above 60 years should be engaged in any work, stated the order.
