The MGNREGA Employees’ Association held a demonstration in front of the Kandhamal district Collectorate here on Monday demanding fulfilment of their 12-point-charter of demands.
The demands included equal pay for equal work as per the Supreme Court’s order, to appoint ACPs and N. Assts on permanent basis, to stop outsourcing, special provision in budget, to provide monthly salary to DEOs, provide 30 per cent posts to APOs, provide promotion to GRS, implement no work in holidays except in natural calamities, open EPF passbooks and provide pension, in case of accidental death provide security and to regularise jobs in six years.
The association threatened that they would continue their stir for an indefinite period.
