When the country is talking regarding the Rohingya refugees, there are people who are leaving their native homes fearing the Maoists.

Malkangiri SP Jagmohan Mina said nine villagers from Palem village under the Chitrakonda police limits in Malkangiri district have left their homes due to Maoist threat. Mina also said all the villagers have temporarily settled behind the Chitrakonda police station.

Within one week all the family members of Kamlu Khilla will be permanently settled by the district administration and they will be provided shelter. “Also we are verifying their identity and soon a report will be submitted to the district Collector following which they will be provided shelter and other amenities,” said Mina.

It is learnt that younger brother of Kamlu Khila is working in Bengaluru and the Maoists believe him as a police informer.

All the villagers of same family appeared before the Joint Grievance Cell of the district administration at Chitrakonda recently.
