The death toll due to Japanese Encephalitis (JE) in Malkangiri district reached 121 with the death of another kid at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Juli Madakami of Palakonda village under Korukonda block. With this, a total of six children of Palakonda village have so far died of the vector-borne disease.
Meanwhile, steps are being taken for vaccination against the JE would commence from December 1.
