A memorial meeting was held in front of the Paradip Port Banik Sangha (PPBS) office here on Tuesday for late Adikanda Bishwal, a founding member of the PPBS.
Sangha president Santosh Kumar Patnaik,who presided over the meeting, said, "Adikandababu always tried to solve problems through amicable discussions. The Banik Sangha has lost an elder advisor.” The Merchants' Union also held a memorial meeting for Bishwal being presided over by Sricharan Bishwal.
Secretary Debabrata Sahu, Pramod Kumar Mohapatra, Anadi Parida, Sarat Chandra Sahu, Chandra Shekhar Mohapatra, Laxmidhar Nayak and Chaitanya Sahu paid tributes to the late leader.
In morning, tree plantation, donation of clothes and Daridra Narayan Seva marked the occasion.
