The inauguration programme of a mega water supply project was held on Sunday at Mirigsingha by the side of river of Baitarani near Champua of Keonjhar district.
Finance Minister Pradeep Kumar Amat inaugurated the function in the presence of RD Minister Badrinarayan Patra, Champua MlA Sanatan Mahakud, Zila Parishad President Kamalini Patra, Sub- Collector Gaurahari Behera and ZP vice-president Abhimanyu Sahoo.
Collector Dr N Tirrumallanaik presided and Executive Engineer (RWSS) Dayanidhi Sahoo gave the votes of thanks.
SDPRO Jayanta Kumar Naik gave the welcome speech and coordinated in the meeting. The mega project will supply water to 91 villages of the district. The contract of the project has been awarded to l&T Company with a cost of nearly Rs 108 crore and it will be completed within two years with a five- year maintenance term.
