A condolence meeting for former Congress general secretary, trade unionist and noted cooperation movement leader Harish Gaurang held here on Monday.
All Odisha Cooperative Societies Employees’ Federation president Niranjan Sahoo and Odisha Cooperative Societies Association president lingaraj Malla paid tributes to the departed soul.
Among others, INTUC president and former MP Dr Rama Chandra Khuntia, general secretary Kishore Jena, Pranati Mishra, Youth INTUC president Satyabrata Nayak, Sharat Sethi, Arun Uday Patra, Radhamohan Samal, Shreedhar Sahu Suni and Hadibandhu Pradhan paid tributes to Gaurang.
It was informed that a State-level commemorative meeting would be held at the lohia Academy here on November 3. Members of all central trade unions would join it. A similar meeting would be held at Nadiabarai in Kendrapada on behalf of the united action committee of all central trade unions on November 6.
