The management of the Jagannath Temple, Koraput, popularly known as Sabara Srikhetra,
held a preparatory meeting for the upcoming Rath Yatra under the chairmanship of district CollectorAnupam Saha
here on Sunday.
Saha appealed to all to maintain law and order and maintain brotherhood.
He asked PHD and RSWW officials to ensure uninterrupted water supply and hygienic conditions and local Health Department officials to see that sufficient medicines kept the Governmnt hospital during the Rath Yatra.
Sabar Shreekshetra witnesses thronging of lakhs of devotees, a majority of them tribals, during the nine-day festival each year.
Among others, local MP Jhina Hikoka, Koraput DSP and IIC, NAC Chairman Bhagwan Bahinipati and the CDMO were present.
