The Ganjam Congress had a meeting at the party office here on Sunday where discussions to strengthen the party at the district level were held.
District Relations Officer Janak Dhrao said how to strengthen the party from the NAC level to the district level for the upcoming elections.
In the meeting, 22 block presidents, 17 NAC presidents, district Congress members and Corporators of the district participated.
They leaders alleged that the State Government had failed to utilise the funds allotted by the Union Government and was getting accolades by changing the names of the schemes of the UPA Government and claiming them to be its own schemes. Among others, district youth Congress president Sanjeet Panigrahi, general secretary Bhaskar Patnaik, district Congress president Bhagwan Gantayat, general secretary Durga Prasad Panda, Surjya Chandra Das, G Premanjali, Bidyadhar Pradhan, Purna Chandra Sahu and Dhanuraju Reddy were present.
