A workshop on ‘Grievance Redressal Mechanism in Government and Social Audit’ was organised by the Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management here on Saturday for officers of the Panchayati Raj Department.
Inaugurating the workshop, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department R Balakrishnan emphasised on the importance of attitude for grievance redressal.
Accountant General, Odisha R Ambalavanan deliberated on the need of transparency in the Government mechanism. Finance Department Special Secretary Aswini Kumar Mishra expressed concern about the attitude to shift the responsibility by officers of various positions.
Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management Director Pradipta Kumar Behera highlighted the importance of grievance redressal and social audit, two important pillars of transparency in administration. Senior vice-president of Sahaj e-Village limited Harsh Pattnaik gave the keynote address while Sahaj e-Village senior consultant Dhurjati Mukherjee spoke on various facets of grievance redressal and social audit in Government. Academy Joint Director Dr Sujata Pati gave a vote of thanks.
