An outreach seminar on Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), 2010 was organised by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) here on Thursday to sensitise stakeholders on various provisions of Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, Foreign Contributions (Regulation) Rules, 2011 and subsequent Amendments/ Notifications.
MHA Joint Secretary (Foreigners) V Vumlunmang spoke to the participants. ICICI Bank also made a presentation on the modalities of inward remittance through banking channel.To facilitate streamlined handling of FCRA matters, the participants were informed by MHA officers that there would be greater use of online portal. The online portal would provide for messaging system, filing of statements by banks, filing of annual returns by associations and NGOs.More than 460 representatives from 258 associations registered under FCRA, ICICI Bank and others participated in the seminar.
