The International Case Symposium in Fashion Retail and Management, organised by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) here got underway at the Toshali Sands Resort in Puri on Thursday. NIFT director general Sudhir Tripathi inaugurated the symposium and emphasized on the importance of case study as a method of teaching from his own experience at the Harvard Business School and appreciated the efforts of the NIFT faculties in bridging the gap between academia and industry through the symposium. Top executives from fashion and life style industries, academicians, scholars, researchers and fashion management students attended the event.
