The BJP on Friday announced to hold a hartal across Mayurbhanj district on February 24 to press for their demand of establishing a medical college in the district. “Tribal-dominated Mayurbhanj district, which lacks health facilities, has the required infrastructure for a medical college. The proposal for setting up a medical college has disappointingly been disapproved. The State Government is sitting silent passing the blame on the Centre. We will protest this by holding hartal in the district on February 24,” informed BJP Mayurbhanj district president Dr Krushna Chandra Mohapatra and former Minister Draupadi Murmu in a Press release.
