The Mahanadi Coalfields limited (MCl) is poised to become the largest coal producer of the country during the current financial year, claimed company CMD AK Jha.
Jha said this at ceremonial meeting organised on Wednesday evening in the honour of his predecessor AN Sahay, who superannuated on October 31, 2015. Jha said the CPSU’s target of achieving 150-million tonne coal production in 2015-16 would be a fitting tribute to the services rendered by Sahay. The company is right on its way to achieve the 250 million tonne target set for 2020, he said.
Director (Technical/Ops) AK Tiwari, CVO Deepak Srivastava, IFoS, Director (Personnel) PC Panigrahi, Director (Finance) KK Parida, JCC members Kishore Chandra Patel (OCMS-INTUC), KC Patra (OCMlF-HMS), Anik Chakravorty (AITUC), Ranjan Behera (TKKMS), Bijya Kumar Sethi (CMOAI) and SC Mallik (CISTEA) were present.
Expressing his gratitude to all for their support, Sahay said, “I would love to see this great company growing and achieving new milestones.”
