Undertakes cleanliness drives
The Mahanadi Coalfields limited (MCl) laid foundation stones for toilets in 20 schools in the State on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanti on Thursday.
It also carried out awareness rallies and cleanliness drives in its command and peripheral areas across Angul, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Sundergarh districts.
MCl CMD AN Sahay administered the Swachhta Shapath to all the employees at the company’s headquarters. MCl Directors AK Tiwari, JP Singh and PC Panigrahi led an awareness rally at the headquarters complex followed by cleanliness activities in the living areas.
Similar activities were undertaken at its mining project areas in Angul, Sundergarh and Jharsuguda, where large number of employees and their families participated in cleanliness drives under the leadership of their respective Area General Managers. The group has been active in various social activities since a long time.
