A three-member team of the Medical Council of India (MCI) on Tuesday visited the Baleswar District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) and the Fakir Mohan Medical College to oversee the infrastructure for patient care and training facilities for the students.
The team headed by Dr BC Roy visited the college campus at Remuna. They inspected the college classrooms, laboratories and library, hostels, mess and interacted with the students regarding the infrastructure and other facilities of the college.
The team visited the DHH and inspected the number of beds, patient services, OT, casualty ward and the number of doctors and specialists and their attendances, etc.
The team members, however, didn’t reveal the outcome of their surprise inspection to the medical college and the hospital.
