The Medical Council of India (MCI), according to reliable sources, is likely to send a team here by April 25 to visit the local one-year-old Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College & Hospital, where there is a considerable degree of uncertainty regarding students’ admission and readmission into the first year and second year classes, respectively in the next academic session.
The team members, during their visit, are likely to study the infrastructural facilities and related matters to assess how far the medical college is able to cater to the prescribed requirements.
If the team is satisfied with the facilities, it will pave the way for admission and readmission of students in the coming session, ending all negative speculations in this regard. Preparations are now in full swing to successfully face the scrutiny of the visiting MCI team.
Some local outfits and political organisations, on the other hand, have warned the authorities of district-wise agitations in case a MCI team doesn’t visit in time and if things don’t move along expected lines pushing the medical college into an uncertain situation.
