Stir enters eighth day
The MBA students of the Regional College of Management (RCM) here continued an indefinite hunger strike for the eighth day on Tuesday, demanding issue of final degree certificates in favour of the pass-out students.
“In the evening, RCM director Prof Prabir Pal approached us and urged us to call off the stir. But we demand that the RCM authorities withdraw a case against the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). This will pave the way for the BPUT to accept all the admissions of the students of the college’s MBA course since 2009 as valid,” said Ankita Sharma, a student.
Notably, due to a dispute over its admission into MBA course, the institute has not been able to get certificates from the BPUT since 2009 and, hence, has failed to provide them to the pass-out students.
