The Mayurbhanj Mahotsav-2016 began here with much fanfare on Thursday. The three-day cultural extravaganza being held at the local Chhow Ground will conclude on Saturday.
Programmes showcasing the different aspects of art, culture, history and heritage of Mayurbhanj are being organised as parts of the festival with special importance being given to Chhow, Jhumar, Karam Puja, Ho Dance.and Jahira Puja .
The famous Mayurbhanj Mudhi Mansa is also being made available in plenty to the visitors during the festival, which is supervised by Mayurbhanj Mahotsav president and film star Asit Pati and working president advocate Bibhu Prasad Das.
