The results of High School Certificate (HSC) examinations 2014 are likely to be out in the first week of May. This was disclosed by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) President DP Nanda here on Tuesday just after the conclusion of the examinations for the Ex-Regular students. The examinations for the Regular students, which had begun on February 25, ended on Monday.
“The evaluation of answer sheets of multiple choice questions, which were marked on OMR sheets, has already started. The evaluation of answer sheets of long questions would begin from March 21 and shall end by March 31,” Nanda said, adding that efforts are being made to publish the results by the first week of May.
He said the matriculation examinations ended peacefully across the State without any major hiccup. He, however, was upset over the fact that a lot of students were booked for adopting unfair means during the examinations.
While over 2,000 Regular students were booked under ‘malpractice’, nearly 1,100 Ex-Regular students were charged under the same offence in this year’s examinations.
