The Odisha Rajya Bidyut Upabhokta Mahasangha, a forum fighting for the cause of power consumers in the State, has decided to hold a State-level mass convention against the prevailing power cuts on October 10 in Bhubaneswar.
Decision to this effect was taken at an all party meeting chaired by Mahasangha president Panchanana Kanungo here. The Mahasangha has decided to intensify the agitation for illegal and undemocratic power cut decision. Mahasangha convenor and Samajwadi Party State president Rabi Behera also moved a resolution condemning the power crisis and Government’s failure in ensuring quality power to the people.
