The city-based Marwari Society held a Shradhajali Sabha here on Sunday for paying homage to the CRPF Jawans martyred in Pulwama.
In a function presided over by society president Sanjay Lath, Bhubaneswar (North) MLA Priyadarshi Mishra said the brave Jawans’ supreme sacrifices won’t go in vain. The whole State and the country are behind their family members in this time of their distress.
Lath said, “Because of our courageous Jawans, we are feeling safe and secure and have a peaceful sleep at night. No stone should be left unturned to ensure that all the martyr’s families’ needs are looked after.”
He announced the society’s assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the kin of the two Odia CRPF Jawans Manoj Behera and Prasanna Sahoo and said more contributions are being collected for the families of these Jawans.
