The Vigilance police on Monday caught MARKFED Auditor Somanath Satapathy red-handed for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of Rs 3,000.
He was caught the bribe from complainant Rabindra Kumar Mishra, former MARKFED Mayurbhanj’s Batanati Godown in-charge and now MARKFED Bhubaneswar Sales Assistant, in order to submit audit report in his favour.
His residential house at IRC Village, Bhubaneswar was searched. He was arrested and will later be forwarded to court.
