A former stenographer of the DGP office here at the State police headquarters Rabindra Kumar Sethy has been summoned by the Commissionerate police asking him to appear before the Investigating Officer (IO) in the Dhalsamant brothers’ cases. Sethy, who is now on leave after he was transferred from here, has been asked to report at the Chauliaganj police station here within seven days.
Confirming that he has received the summons, Sethy, speaking to this correspondent over telephone on Wednesday, informed that he would appear before the IO on Saturday next. He, however, did not elaborate as to why he has been summoned by the police.
The stenographer has been in news ever since he met the Dhalsamant brothers in the court premises here on February 13 when the arrested mafia brothers were produced in the SDJM Court here. Sethy, who reportedly was a confidant of retired DGP Sanjeev Marik, had allegedly whispered something in the ears of the Dhalsamant brothers in the court premises.
