Former Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Sanjeev Marik was on Friday declared as the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidate for Jharkhand’s Godda Assembly by-poll.
JMM president Hemant Soren announced Marik’s name, sources said. Marik, who joined the JMM recently, is a native of Godda.
Notably, the Godda by-poll has been necessitated after the death of BJP MlA Raghunandan Mandal in January.
