Members of the Manavbadi Hetubadi Sangathan and many intellectuals organised a rally named “March for Science” in front the Khallikote College here on Saturday demanding that Government policies be drafted based on scientific research and more funds allocated for science in the Central and State Budgets.
.They demanded that Budget allocations for scientific research be raised to three per cent of the GDP and another 10 per cent be allocated for science education. They opined that education system should only impart ideas that are supported by scientific proofs.
The sangathan strongly protested against the high-profiled people who are acting against the science with unscientific mind sets and religious feeling.
