The Campaign against Fabricated Cases, Odisha on Wednesday appealed to the Maoists to release the 10 persons abducted by them on Tuesday, unconditionally.
“Poor, wage earners, farmers, Dalits and adivasis are always being victimised. While the Government and police boast of arresting them in false cases and killing them in false encounters, Maoists are killing them in the name of police informers. Abducting these poor villagers is no solution to any problem. They should be released unconditionally so that their panic-stricken family members would heave a sigh of relief,” said campaign coordinator Narendra Mohanty and advisor Bishwapriya Kanungo in a statement.
