Maoists again went on a rampage and set on fire nine vehicles of a crusher unit near the Deokupali area under the Muniguda police station in Rayagada district late on Friday night.
As per reports, a group of Red rebels including a few women cadres barged into the crusher unit and later torched two poclain machines, five Hyvas and two loaders.
The rebels have left behind posters in which they stated to have carried out the destruction as the crusher units are increasing pollution in the region apart from damaging roads and soil.
The ultras have also accused the crusher unit of exploiting the labourers and warned other crusher unit owners of dire consequences if they don’t curb such activities.
