Fear struck residents of MV 90 village in the Kalimela area in Malkangiri district after the Maoists killed a person suspecting him as a police informer on early Tuesday morning.
The body of the person, still unidentified, was found lying near a village road. A Maoist poster found along with the body said the person was killed on the suspicion of being a police informer.
The poster also demanded an immediate halt to the Operation Green Hunt and combing operations in the area.The police have started investigation into the incident.
